Assistant Prof. at National University of Science and Technology, Oman

Dr. Yaman Walid Kassab is an Assistant Professor in Pharmacy Practice at the College of Pharmacy, National University of Science and Technology, Oman. He holds a PhD in Clinical Pharmacy from Malaysia, where his research focused on pharmacist-led interventions in secondary prevention of coronary artery disease. Dr. Kassab has over 15 years of academic, clinical, and research experience across Oman, Malaysia, Jordan, and the UAE. He has taught extensively at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, covering clinical pharmacy, pharmacotherapeutics, public health, and research methodology. He has played leading roles in curriculum design, accreditation (ACPE and OAAAQA), and academic quality assurance.

He has supervised more than 70 undergraduate research projects and over 35 postgraduate research students, and successfully graduated 4 PhD students. His research contributions include over 90 peer-reviewed publications, several book chapters, and a Scopus h-index of 21. His areas of interest include cardiovascular pharmacotherapy, pharmacoeconomics, and pharmacy education.

Dr. Kassab is a certified GCP practitioner and holds qualifications in healthcare management, teaching methodology, and advanced pedagogy. He is an active member of several professional bodies, including FIP, the Oman Pharmaceutical Society, and the International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners.

MD USM, MCommMed UKM, PhD Niigata

Dr. Mohd Rohaizat Hassan is a Professor of Epidemiology at the Department of Public Health Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, National University of Malaysia. He attained his MD(USM) in 1998, Masters of Community Medicine (UKM) in 2009 and PhD (Niigata University, Japan) in 2019. With experience of 22 years in public health and epidemiology, his field of interest is in infectious disease epidemiology focusing on neglected tropical diseases, emerging re-emerging diseases, vector-borne and zoonotic diseases. He has 238 index publications including in Web of Science and Scopus. He is the editorial board member for Global Journal of Public Health Medicine and Medical Technology and Public Health Journal. Currently, he is a Visiting Professor of the University of Cyberjaya, Malaysia, Principal Associate Fellow of the UKM Medical Molecular Biology Institute (UMBI) UKM, Research Fellow of the Borneo Medical and Health Research Centre, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University Malaysia Sabah Fellow, and the Past President of the Malaysian Association of Epidemiology.

Dean of the College of Dentistry, Al-Mustansiriya University

Dr. Maha Jamal Al-Ani is the Dean of the College of Dentistry at Al-Mustansiriya University and an Associate Professor of Preventive Dentistry. With a PhD and over 16 published research papers, she has earned two international awards for her scientific contributions. Dr. Al-Ani holds several leadership roles, including Vice President of the Iraqi Association for Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry and Council Member of the IADR (Iraq Division). Her career spans over two decades of clinical and academic excellence in Iraq’s leading dental institutions.
